The potraits painted by Klimt are all full of gold and decadent decorations. Here is a section of one of my favourites. The title is 'Expectation' (1909) and it can be found in the Austrian Museum of Applied Arts, Vienna, Austria

Art History for Shopaholics - Lady of Shalott

The Lady of Shalott is one of the best loved paintings in the Tate Britain Gallery in London. It is by John William Waterhouse, member of the Pre-Rafaelite group and it is inspired by the poem of Lord Tennyson (part 4). To find out more, head to the Tate website:
